what should I write about in the commentary section for my school newspaper.?
I need something to write about and the deadline is tomorrow! This is my first time writing for commentary and I have no clue of what to write about. Should I just politely rant about whatever? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You could write about some sort of social injustice in your community and what you think should be done about it. You could write about almost anything that you think is wrong and needs to be corrected. Write about a dangerous intersection where there are a lot of close calls, or about the homeless people in your area and how the community might help them get shelter or jobs. Things like that.
