1995 F150 4WD trying to get the front rotor off is it left or eight handed threads?

It started to loosen counter clock wise but then got tough.

Update:

It is NOT the lugs that I'm having trouble with it is the inside castle style center nut that holds the rotor/wheel on. I need to get it off to replace the lugs that sheared off.

Its a 15 year old vehicle. More than likely bolts have accumulated some rust over time, especially on things like that since they're not loosened very often. Spray some PB Blaster on the bolts the night before, and give them a thin coat of anti-seize before tightening them back up.
