Water, water, water, water, water. It's SO important to stay hydrated. If you become dehydrated it could result in a hospital visit and/or prolonged symptoms. Drown the flu isn't just a saying. Also, rest. Your body needs it to fight the virus.
I know it sounds simple, but it's very effective.

You have to let your body do the fighting until it runs it's natural course. All you can do is take things to relieve the symptoms. By the way it is not the flu causing the symptoms, it's your body fighting it that makes you feel so unwell.

When I had the flu, I kept warm (no matter how hard it was to do), drank tons of juice, rested, and took advil every once in a while. Do this. There's not much more you can do, sadly.
