Did you hear about the Eagles releasing Jeff Garcia, and signing LB Jeremiah Trotter?

Garcia was signed as insurance. Eagles were not sure what they would get out of Kolb for him starting. Well the kid has gone the best route for QB's sit watch and learn. Now in his first 2 games hes passed for over 300yds. Hes is the FIRST QB in NFL history to do that in his first 2 games. And ok he threw 3 picks against the Saints in a loss but when the Defense is getting 48 dropped on em you got to try to make things happen.

Eagles are 2-1, have the BYE this week then the rest of October schedule is pretty good for them (TBay, Oak, Wash). November is when it picks up. Donovan is scheduled to get action on the 10/11 game against the Bucs.

Trotter is a lotto ticket basicly. Not costing much but if it hits could be a good payout. Worth a shot.

1. On week 2, Kolb would be the only available QB. If the Eagles hadn't got Garcia, and Kolb was injured, we would be screwed.

2. I like Trotter, but I think he is way too old and slow now to be a good run stopper.

We needed a back up for the Saints game and The AXE MAN will bring some excitement to the defense. We need somebody to step up and be a leader on D. Granted he wont play that much but he will be a player that will be listened to by the others. Just an extra coach on the field if you will.
