Do y0u think LAWYERS salaries and commission on lawsuits should be set and lowered?
I mean $100,000 is more than enough for a lawyer. $300,000 senior partner. 5% lawsuit commission. The rest is robbery and why insurance is so high in America.

No because that would set a precedent where the government could come in and say that they know who should make what. That is flat out scary. That said I do think there needs to be massive tort reform and stricter standards put in place for filing a lawsuit but having the government set caps on how much a profession not part of the government can make is not only morally wrong but it is not authorized in the Constitution

No. You don't have to hire them. If you want them to take your case, you agree to pay what they ask. You can always find a cheaper attorney with a law degree from Tijuana University, or you can try to handle the lawsuit yourself. If you want the best, you pay for it.
These complaints about frivolous lawsuits annoy me. The opposing side can request an unfounded lawsuit be dismissed immediately, with costs paid by the person filing the frivolous suit. There is already a procedure for eliminating them.
Might I add, the guilty party always screams "frivolous lawsuit", but somehow they can never prove it. I wonder why that is. Maybe the doctor who took out the wrong kidney deserved to be sued, there's a thought.

I'm against salaries for anyone being set by the government, but there should be something in place to either lower the percentage lawyers receive in malpractice and other suits or simply a cap on damages (which many states have, and which have reduced the cost of defensive medicine).
It will never happen, though, because the Democrat Party is owned by trial lawyers.

If you want to complain about people being paid too much, why aren't you whining about the bankers and the amounts they're being paid for running their companies into the ground? At least a lawyer taking a case on a contingency basis doesn't get paid unless he wins. Let's see the bankers agree to that; "you get to handle this account, but you don't get a dime unless you make it grow".

I think we should nationalize non criminal lawyers. Want to sue someone? Get a free government paid lawyer. It would stop all of these bull lawsuits.
