poor, white country boy.
hes grungy and spends a lot of time homeless.
he has no "social values".
hes skeptical of the world around him. distrustful.
believes in fairness.
naturally smart.
very thoughtful, as everything he sees is a new experience.

Well he's a rapscallion. I think he may have been a runaway, I don't think the book mentions his parents. Huck has been friends with Tom for many years so you know they are quite mischievous together. He is also imaginative, resourceful and friendly.
