China is hardly communist--it is communist in name only. They have a mixed economy that is more and more a capitalist one with a totalitarian or authoritarian government that is a dictatorship by committee.

In general opinion surveys have found that the average Chinese citizen is quite happy with their lives in China because of the great economic progress and rise in their standard of living over the past 25 years. Political freedom just doesn't rank up there as a desire, at least not yet.

  • It is not a pure communist society in the Marxist sense. It is a blend of Socialism and Capitalism.

They do not live in a communist society. They call it that, but it is more of an authoritarian society.

Some of the Chinese are living in a fascist society. The Chinese have adopted a semi-free market in some of their larger cities.

Either way... a prefer a free society and am enjoying it before the democRATs wrest it away...
