could we dump garbage into open volcanoes?

could this reduce the filling up of landfills?

    Are you volunteering?

    We tried incinerating our refuse for years. It produced a heck of a lot of air pollution. Let's not go back to that, event where there are active volcanoes (a rather small percentage of the Earth).

    Yes we could and yes it would. However, it wouldn't go away. It would just burn. Now you have smog.
