Model release form for drawing?

Is one needed?

Its standard portrait drawing really. As close to life as I can manage.

It may or may not be used commercially.

But if one is needed, I'd rather get one sooner, than trying to re-locate my model..

Not necessarily but it can help. what the agreement will do is prevent the model from coming back and possibly collecting dollars or suing because of the commercial use his/her image.

If you have hired the model that contract should cover the particulars but if its a volunteer or a friend and its for personal use It shouldn't be a problem.

Seeing that you are unsure if it will be used commercially you may want to do one. However if you don't you can always discuss the compensation and particulars after Be carful though because the model may choses at that time to deny the use of the image for commercial use and you will have to agree to this.

The company may not want to use the image if there has not been a release form.

You also need to be aware that if you are not getting compensated to do the illustration but the company is making money of of it the model The model may feel that he/she should still be compensated.

As a photographer, I easily have the customer/variety sign a TFP/TFCD (commerce/Time For pictures/CD) settlement. in the settlement, it states the particular utilization rights of the photographs for the two events. It additionally specifies different information, including what (and quantity of) pictures the customer/variety is to get carry of and while they'll get carry of the suggested product.
