Why isn't my music going into iTunes?

When I go to the folder for iTunes, it says all my music's there, but when I open the actual program, there's nothing there. Why is this happening, and how can I fix it?

I've tried both of those things. Neither have worked. :(

    click file and then go to "add folder to library" find the folder with the music you want and select it then click add or ok

    you might need to drag and drop it inside
