A good audition song for 'Meet Me In St. Louis'?

I was thinking about doing 'Eet' by Regina Spektor. I'm not really sure though.

You only get 30 seconds of a song.

Any suggestions?

You need to use something from that time period so look at the Rogers and Hammerstein stuff or Cole Porter.. Meet me in St. Louis is about 60 years old, so you have to find music in that genre.

    Try these

    A WONDERFUL GUY.. south Pacific

BEFORE THE PARADE PASSES BY.. Hello dolly

    BILL... Show Boat

    BLOW GABRIEL BLOW... Anything Goes

DOIN' WHAT COMES NATRALLY.. Annie get your gun

GOOD NIGHT MY SOMEONE.. The Music Man

    I LOVE PARIS... Can Can

IF I WERE A BELL... Guys and Dolls

LIFE IS JUST A BOWL OF CHERRIES.. Fossee

    SECRET LOVE ... Calamity Jane

    SMALL WORLD... Gypsy

Notice how I have tried to give you PERIOD PIECES from the era of Meet me in St. Louis which was about the 1904 World's Fair but was written as a musical about 1954

Depends on the instrument or if you are singing and stuff. Minuet is a nice song to play on wood winds.

    Source(s): I play oboe
