Getting a job in Chicago vs. LA?
I live in Chicago, but am considering moving to LA. Job-wise, anyone know whether it'd be a good idea?
Oh, and I want to work in the non-profit field. I have a B.A. and work experience.

There are no jobs in LA at this time. Donot come here unless you have a job lined up in advance.
And note that in LA, non technical, non financial BAs are a dime a dozen.

Frankly, I'd stay put. Unemployment is officially 13% here, but it's really much higher when you figure people who are working part time instead of full time. Sure, the weather's great, but if you have a job there, stick it out a couple more years.

If you find anything, then I'd say give it a shot. Keep in mind that your expenses will triple (possibly quadruple) from what you pay in Illinois.
