Joba should go to the bullpen permanently, their experiment failed. Now, they just have to admit it and move forward. When Mariano is there, Joba is the set up man. When Mariano retires, Joba can become the closer, if, in fact, he has the head for it, and the jury is still out on what's actually in that!

well this is tough, because remember earlier in the season right after the all-star break joba was doing amazing. Joba is very inconsistent. But, chad gaudin hasn't proved to be playoff material yet. he had a few good games, but i think the yankees trust joba way more then gaudin

He belongs there. Gaudin would make a better starter than Joba

I do very much so. He should be put in the bullpen. He started off good as a starter earlier in the season but he has just lost it. Think back to a few years ago. He was untouchable as a reliever. If they put him in the bullpen he will have much more success.

  • I agree. Yanks need to admit the Joba experiment is a failure & they need to put him back in the Bullpen where he belongs.

It wouldnt be fair to him to put him in the pen for the entire playoffs after he had a starter mentality all season. He can't automatically get in the pen and throw 96 again

Joba is at full strength bring him back to the starting rotation!

I think he should stay a starter for a while, and then if he does bad, they could move him to the bullpen.

i think he likes being a back up person so yes. maybe he's sending a message to joe girardi with his pitching like "hey joe, guess what, i don't like the limelight. put me back where i shine." sometimes people act out and give messages with their actions instead of being straight up and talking to a person directly. maybe joba is that type of person?

    yes just as he should
