LOL...We got it 4 cheap vol 2??? Wow someone was sucking clipse really hard on that one...

The Drought 3? wowsers....and above Scarface's The Fix neverless...

Donuts was eh....not really on my top albums list though...no real issue with it on the list but i'm just saying.

And Purple Haze????? Really now? Jesus......Wasn't Come home with me Considered a better album anyway...Down & Out was official though....

Pitchfork is a very suspect group of reviewers...they actually give out zeros...like seriously who does that...i might wanna give a zero out every now and then but its damn near impossible to give one fairly...

    Blueprint: 5/5

    Supreme Clientele: 5/5

    Stankonia:4/5

    Late Registration: 3.75/5

    Madvillainy: 5/5

College Dropout:4.75/5 = Too many Skits cause it to lose points.

Hell Hath No Fury - 4.5/5

    Donuts: 4/5

    Fishscale: 4.5/5

    Miss E: 4.25/5

    Graduation: 4/5

    The Black Album: 5/5

    Da Drought: 3/5

    Purple Haze: 3/5

    Marshall Mathers LP: 5/5

Four Tet: Never heard this album....i will tonight though.

    4 Cheap: 4/5

    King: 4/5

    The Cold Vein: 4.5/5

    The Pretty Toney Album: 4.25/5

    Lord Willin: 4.25/5

    The W:4/5

    Like Water: 4.25/5

    Tha Carter 2: 3.5/5

    The Fix: 4.5/5

With the exception of a bizarre few...they actually do have some good choices...

Wow...i'm shocked that nobody heard that missy album...i bought that the first week...

    5 Jay-Z - The Blueprint 4/5

    #11 Ghostface Killah - Supreme Clientele 4.5/5

    #13 Outkast - Stankonia 4/5

    #18 Kanye West - Late Registration 4.5/5

    #25 Madvillain - Madvillainy 3.5/5

#28 Kanye West - The College Dropout 5/5

#52 Clipse - Hell Hath No Fury 3.5/5

    #66 J Dilla - Donuts 4.5/5

    #75 Ghostface Killah - Fishscale 4.5/5

#77 Missy Elliot - Miss E...So Addictive haven't heard it

    #87 Kanye West - Graduation 3.5/5

    #90 Jay-Z - The Black Album 5/5

    #99 Lil Wayne - Da Drought 3 2.5/5

    #114 Cam'ron - Purple Haze 3/5

#119 Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP 4/5

#123 Four Tet - Rounds haven't heard it

#130 Clipse - We Got It 4 Cheap, Vol. 2 haven't heard it

    #147 T.I. - King 3.5/5

#152 Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein 4/5

#152 Ghostface Killah - The Pretty Toney Album haven't heard it

#155 Clipse - Lord Willin haven't heard it

    #162 Wu-Tang Clan - The W 4/5

#169 Common - Like Water for Chocolate 3.5/5. I know this is one of your favorite albums, but honestly it's not that good. There's too much filler.

#178 Lil Wayne - Tha Carter II 3.5/5

    #185 Scarface - The Fix 4/5

I haven't even heard 200 albums from the 2000's, so I can't say that the list is necessarily wrong, but the placement is definitely messed up, and they're missing a lot of good ones. Every professional album list I've read so far sucked.

Sorry Mech, I like rating out of ten, i'm kinda OCD like that...

5 Jay-Z - The Blueprint - 8/10, highest rated hip hop album... crap

    #11 Ghostface Killah - Supreme Clientele - 10/10

    #13 Outkast - Stankonia - 8/10

    #18 Kanye West - Late Registration - 7.5/10

    #25 Madvillain - Madvillainy - 9/10

    #28 Kanye West - The College Dropout - 9/10

    #52 Clipse - Hell Hath No Fury - ----

    #66 J Dilla - Donuts - 8.5/10

    #75 Ghostface Killah - Fishscale - 9/10

    #77 Missy Elliot - Miss E...So Addictive - ----

#87 Kanye West - Graduation - 8.5/10, 3 Kanye albums in the top 100... Bushit... man, pure bushit...

    #90 Jay-Z - The Black Album - ----

    #99 Lil Wayne - Da Drought 3 - ---- Isn't this a mixtape... again with the Bushit...

    #114 Cam'ron - Purple Haze - ----

    #119 Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP - 8.5/10

    #123 Four Tet - Rounds - ----

    #130 Clipse - We Got It 4 Cheap, Vol. 2 - ----

    #147 T.I. - King - 7/10

    #152 Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein - 10/10

#152 Ghostface Killah - The Pretty Toney Album - 7/10

    #155 Clipse - Lord Willin - ----

    #162 Wu-Tang Clan - The W - 8.5/10

    #169 Common - Like Water for Chocolate - 9/10

    #178 Lil Wayne - Tha Carter II - ----

    #185 Scarface - The Fix - 8/10

    side note: "- ----" = i haven't heard the album

The list isn't complete crap, you can tell some of the staff members were either well informed and told to put certain albums on the list, or there were various participants with very diverse tastes in hip hop from one another but all had the credibility to put these albums on there, either way it is very partial to the Def Jam cats... Jay-Z, Ghostface, Kanye... that's why there's no Nas... God's Son was a great album, better than two 3rds of the albums mentioned.

I am of the most humble opinion that Pitchfork should not be allowed to review hip hop albums (neither should Rolling Stone since I'm complaining).

    #5 Jay-Z - The Blueprint- 8.5/10

    #11 Ghostface Killah - Supreme Clientele- 10/10

    #13 Outkast - Stankonia- 9/10

#178 Lil Wayne - Tha Carter II- 7.5/10

    #185 Scarface - The Fix- 9/10

This is a bullsh*t list. All three Kanye albums, both Clipse albums, a f*cking Clipse mixtape? Pitchfork sucks more than I thought. Indie hipster f*ckers

Edit: Sh*t, it is out of 5.

The Fix needs to be alot higher Clipse's two albums are heavliy underrated on here, actually i think Tha Carter II deserves to be a bit higher, Da Drought 3 was a bit of surprise, but it was a solid mixtape by Wayne.

    Blueprint- 9/10

    Supreme Clientele- 9.5/10

    Stankonia- 8/10

    Late Registration- 8.5/10

    College Dropout- 9/10

    Hell Hath No Fury- 9/10

Da Drought 3- 8.5/10 (not Wayne's best mixtape)

    Purple Haze- 8/10

King- 8/10 (Not his best album in my opinion)

    Lord WIllin- 9/10

    Tha Carter II- 8.5/10

    The Fix- 9/10

The Cactus Album - 3rd Bass 8. All Hail the Queen - Queen Latifah 9. Under Construction - Missy Elliott 10. Symphony in Effect - Maestro Fresh Wes (Canadian rapper) EDIT: The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is not a hip hop album in my opinion. EDIT (2): Are Digable Planets qualifying because of one female rapper? If so you can stick both their albums in my top 10.
