How Do I Install an Old Floppy Disc Game on a New Computer?
Old Floppy Disc game wont let me install on a new computer!
Okay, a long, long time ago I bought a game called OPERATION: INNER SPACE which totally kicked ***. Well, I found the floppy disc a few days ago, and since I first installed it, I have had two new computers.
I tried to install it from the floppy disc, but it says that the game was installed on a different computer, so it would not allow me to install the full version. The company is also out of business.
MY QUESTION IS:
Is there a way to find on the floppy disc what info was written on it when I first installed the game on my old computer, and can I erase this to make the disc work on this computer?

Have you tried visiting the official web site?

The connections are most likely different. You'll need adapters to make it work, but they should be available to connect to a newer computer via USB ports. However, there's no guarantee that a newer operating system will recognize the old drive. So......unfortunately, it'll be strictly a trial and error thing. The upside is that you can probably try this and have less than $20 involved......

hmm, do you have the old hard-drive? can you install it to a virtual PC that mimics the old pc? and your sure the disc itself isn't locked?
