What to do for my birthday?

It's my sixteenth, and I've left it some what late to plan so it will be at my house.

But I still don't know what to do there, I mean what if it's reaaaally bad.

I want to just like have a bbq and a few drinks with music, but then I also wish I could have one like loud music, drinking blahblahblah but people would get so drunk I'm afraid they'll wreck my house.

I wish I could wear formal wear though, but yeah, my mum can't afford to pay for everyone to a fancy restaurant .. any ideas? :( :S

hawaiian themes are fun .You have like a luao and serve smoothies and other tropical drinks.

Palm trees and tikki torches add to the atmosphere.

Have a hula contest with guests wearing grass skirts.

Hand out a lei to each guest. You can make lei bracelets for a craft too. People can wear Hawaiian shirts if they want or just their bathing suits, bikini's,one pieces, lol, whatever turns them on.

Create a lagoon effect by hanging streamers in green, aqua and blue colors from the ceiling. Add a string of white lights for more of a glow.

Attach helium balloons to pineapples for a themed decoration.

All this can be done pretty cheaply. party stores sell those lei's pretty cheap.

I think that works best but if you don't like that idea how about a Rock N Roll party..have everyone dress up in their best rocker outfit..tell them current style or the old fashion at the hop..have plenty of music & fun foods to snack on.

Or pick an era you liked best...say for example..The 80's.

Here are some ideas that you can use for your 80s theme party. You can tweak things and add your own touch for fun times. Just imagine how cool you'll be after having one of these parties:

For a birthday party, make a Rubik's Cube cake to fashion the fun 80s mind-bending game. Bake the cube cake in three 8x8 squares. Stack the cakes using layers of white frosting between each of them. Use colored frostings in the Rubik's Cube colors to finish decorating the cake: red, blue, green, yellow and white and use black licorice frosting to define the edges of each cube.

What kind of food should you serve? Oh, just the standard 1980s fare including:

    String Cheese...Rice Cakes...Jell-O Pudding Pops

Hot Pockets...Deviled Eggs...Tang...Capri Sun juice bags

    Fresca...Tab....Wine Coolers...Wine in a box

Play movies with an 80s theme. Party with E.T. (Extra Terrestrial) and Top Gun blasting on your big screen television and your party becomes the "scene." You can also have your guests dress in costume like their favorite 80s television character from their favorite movies or the movie that you're playing.

Mail your party invitations using "like" 80s speak, "you know?". So, "you could like", "you know" be "so totally" like "gnarly cool" and impress your guests. You know what I'm saying?

Decorations are the ultimate 80s theme fun. No true theme party from the 80s would be complete without themed colorful balloons, streamers, disco balls and lava lamps.

Send your guests home feeling even more throwback, include 80s themed goody bags for a send-off. Remember the fun candies from the 80s? The short list includes:

Twizzlers ...Microwave Popcorn (invented in the 80s, remember?)Bubble Yum...Bottle Caps

    Fruit roll-ups...Carmellos....Jolly Ranchers....Gummi Worms

    Nerds.....Reese's Pieces.....Gummy Bears...Fun Dip

Use your favorite things from the time and add special touches to make it personal and fun. Just remember the things you enjoyed and duplicate them. Fun times

Happy Happy Birthday. I'm sure it's going to be a great one.Enjoy your night. It's all about you birtday girl! Ciao Bella

Well if you do have it at your house i wouldnt drink because thats just asking for trouble techniqally you shouldnt drink anyway but yeah.

I got a DJ or you could rent a Duke box or something they always make a party more fun,

if you want to wear formal make it a formal theme, but that doesnt mean you have to go to a restaurant just buy a nice dress or something and get fancy decorations or something

have fun :) hope this helped

    - Maybe everyone could dress formally, as you suggested.

    - If your house is too plain, go to discount shops and make decorations- make your house look party-ish.

    - Hang photos of your childhood days around the house...after all, you're growing up.

    - Disco theme would be cool too, buy a disco ball and hang it somewhere. Move your furniture around and make yourself look the part.

    - Maybe you could have a water balloon fight in the afternoon and dress up for the evening?

    - Well, it's your decision, and don't get too stressed out for this. Your 16th should be a blast!

    - HAPPY SWEET 16th!

How about you buy something that he needs. Instead of toys. Like he might need clothes or something. A toy u can get him is a tonka truck or car. They have these cars @ walmart. They are from the movie cars and they are soft and a toy he can throw and wont break. They are also from the ages 1 and up. Or get something he can push around and then ride when hes big enough. Get a play phone he can talk on. There is all kinds of toys. Or if she dont have a piggy bank for him.

your bbq sounds like a fun idea. don't worry about getting all dressed up. Just have fun with your friends. Plus, if your mom is having financial problems, asking for expensive clothes for a birthday party might not be a good idea. And even w/out alcohol, you can have fun. BBQ up some hot dogs/hamburgers and get some soda.

First of all no drinks and you could just have a small slumber party with your friends have a runway show with different categories and see who can throw the most cheetos at someone with shaving cream on and they get stuck.

I think that skirts tend to either look kind of cheap or trashy if they are tight and short, or these are just the run of the mill jean skirts that aren't necessarily sexy.
