How do I best put my scanned photos on CDs?

I have family photos scanned and digitalized on my computer. I would like to make them available to all family members. If I just copy them to a cd would they be able to have some printed from the cd? Some may not own computers.

I have made DVD slide shows but want to be sure they have the option of printing or downloading from the disc I send them.

Any tips are appreciated, thank you!

Keith

Update:

OK John, Thank you. I am unable to venture out very much so please verify I understand.

A "kiosk" would be available at for example a Wal mart store and enables a customer to view the contents of the disk and select files(photos) for printing?

My sister has made comments suggesting something like this was available but not having seen or used them I want to be sure I understand before I mail multiple discs to several family members.

Again you have been very helpful.

Thank you,

Keith

Update 2:

Thanks John & Sunil G. I am good to go now.

If you have a CD burner installed on your PC and the required software like Nero, You can burn (copy) your photographs on the CD. once that is done, make multiple copies of that CD, keep one for youself and send out the others. Then anyone who has a PC can copy it on their own PC and watch them. For those who do not have a PC, they can always go to the nearest Photo Center / Foto Lab like FotoFast etc. They have all the required software and hardware available to watch, select and print the photographs. Thank you.

If you put the images in a standard JPEG format on the root (or even in separated directories) of a CD they can take the disc to any self-developing Kiosk and thumb through the directories and folders for printing.
