I did I was wrong though.

Yes, I was getting so amped up when he made that late charge... and then when he was about .50 seconds behind, he just stayed that far behind and couldn't make up anymore ground. Maybe Tony was saving a little at the end, until the last 4-5 laps is what I figured.
I think he will win one in the CHASE... Hopefully Charlotte or Dega

I thought Jeff would win. Gordon was really catching Stewart and had plenty of laps but with about 7 laps to go, he couldn't close the gap anymore. Jeff said his car got real tight when he got closer to Tony. It was definately a good race for the #24 team. The car wasn't good early but they kept making it better as the race progressed and had a winning car at the end. While I was dissapointed he didn't win, yesterdays race shows the #24 team can still contend for a championship.

I did not see the race because I was at a party and of course they were watching football, but I heard that he came in second. I always root him on for coming in first. My uncle, he always brags when Tony Stewart wins and here is exactly what he does.
"Guess what, Jeff Gordon came in second, and guess who came in first?
Tony Stewart!!!!!!"
And then he tells everybody who actually cares about NASCAR and rubs it in there faces with that kind of tone in his voice!!!!.
I hate it!!!!!
But yeah, I always cheer him on for coming into first. I am just sad that it doesn't happen as often as it used to.

Not with Letarte as crew chief...I go into races wondering how bad Letarte is going to mess up Gordon's car this week. Makes no sense to me how all he other contenders can make their cars better as the race progresses, but week after week Gordon goes backwards as the race winds down.

I did. He had taken on 4 tires to Tony's 2 and when he got by Biffle who also had 4, I thought he would win. I was wrong.

I was rooting for Biffle to win the race, but my real thought was, "I hope anyone but Jimmie wins this race." Not that I have anything against Jimmie, but I just want a new champion this year.
