I'm having a problem with Excel - the language for my Column Headings is all wrong.?

I used to be able to type a very simple formula in Excel. I would list the Column Letter and the Row Number to get my formula, but my Column letters have changed to numbers, and now my formulas are much more confusing. Does anyone know how to change the Column Headings Back?

Go to Tools > Options and select the 'General' tab. Under 'Settings' remove the check mark from 'R1C1reference style' and click 'OK'.

which answers your question for Mac Office 2008, Microsoft Office 2007 and 2003 and earlier.
