My 5 month old daughter eats more at night....?

My daughter is almost 5 months old (on the 13th) and she used to eat before bed (around 10:00 p.m.) and then she would wake up around 4:00 a.m to eat. Now she eats a whole bottle at night before bed, but she wakes up several times and eats about 10 ounces at night. Any ideas on how to get her to eat less at night and more during the day?

Hey I have a son he will be 5 months on the 12th he eats his last bottle at 10 as well but he sleeps till 6 or 7 am I m lucky he has slept through the nite sinse 2 months. Stop feeding her in the nite his pediatrition told me he is growing enough that he doesn't need to eat through the nite. Also dont just assume she is hungry when she cries at nite, sometimes my son cries so I pick him up and rock him back to sleep. If you want your angel to sleep through the nite do not talk to her or play with her and do not use lights or the tv so she can learn she needs to sleep, it will take a week or so but be consistent and it will pay off. Also the last feeding of the nite add a little cereal and it will hold her a little longer. My son was 9 pounds at birth and he only drinks 5 ounces. Also don't force her to eat just comfort her besides feeding her in the nite

  • Hmm, have you tried making her daytime bottles bigger? You can try that and see if she takes an entire bigger bottle. If it works, she'll go to bed more full and will most likely wake up to eat less.

    Good luck.
