Why do people like to cut Truck drivers off?

Question

I am a long haul truck driver and frequently have to slam on my brakes to avoid a collision with people who drive what we call four wheelers. Just wondering it seems like people who drive cars have no regard for their lives or others around them. Some truckers are nasty I agree but they still bring you what you need to live with, on a daily basis.

Drivers are impatient and inconsiderate.  AND, many of them just don't understand the risk they take by cutting off a 30-50 ton vehicle...all they know is they don't want to be behind you.

Thanks to all of you trucker guys for being on the ball and protecting those fools from themselves.  Your truck could turn their car into a bottle cap, I wonder if they realize it's your driving skill that prevents the accident?

I always let the trucks in, and give them a wide berth.  I know they need a run at the hills and room to accelerate into traffic.  I give it to them.

Many of them throw debris on my new finish. To many people improperly fail to tie down the tarp on those dump trucks.
