RHH: How does your top ten favorite artists list look with NRHH artists/bands included?
Mine (Keep in mind this is a rough draft, just thought up) :
Black Thought
The Doors
Bob Dylan
MF DOOM
Ghostface Killah
Camu Tao
Mr. Lif
Pos
TV on The Radio
Kanye West (Did I just admit that? Well I'm talking Pre-Graduation Kanye, though I still think he's dope as a producer and a decent rapper)
@Morbid: You were the first one I heard mention them, but I didn't check them out until Jack gave me the DL to Dear Science. That is seriously one of the best albums I've ever heard.

Hmmm. Pretty different.
1) GZA
2) Aesop Rock
3) Beck
4) Cannibal Ox
5) The Flaming Lips
6) TV on the Radio
7) Blackalicious
8) Tom Waits
9) Ghostface Killah
10) Led Zeppelin
I guess its different because in terms of music as a whole, some of my favorite rappers are lacking. But for hip hop they're awesome.
I'm glad you enjoyed Dear Science. Thats one of the best albums I've ever heard as well. I just wish more people had checked it out too

Bob Marley
The Roots
Rage Against the Machine
Groundation
Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals
Easy Star All Stars
Dave Matthews Band
Red Hot Chili Peppers
John Browns Body
Psydecar
Source(s): only the Roots made it to my actual top 10 - Anonymous5 years ago
Yeah, definitely. It would probably be a 50/50 split between NRHH and hip hop albums. BQ: Either Arctic Monkeys - Favorite Worse Nightmare or Erykah Badu - New Amerykah Pt.One.

TV On The Radio, did me or Jack recommend them?
Mine (as of right now of the top of my head):
Aesop Rock
Radiohead
Bob Dylan
Miles Davis
The Roots
Nujabes
David Byrne
GZA
El-P
John Coltrane
This is mainly what I've been deeply into for the last few days.
Source(s): Edit: I was wondering. Out of all the albums I've heard that is one that surprised me a lot. Edit: I would also put Nick Drake and Elliot Smith somewhere on my list, but I don't know where I might take John off, and put one of them on. - Anonymous1 decade ago
I'm adding groups too.
NaS
Talib Kweli
The Roots
OutKast
Michael Jackson

Well when you factor in groups, it changes my top ten quite a bit but only one non RHH makes it.
Black Star
The Roots
Slum Village (Includes both J Dilla and Elzhi)
Binary Star
Lupe Fiasco
Wu Tang Clan
Blu & Exile
Common
Modest Mouse
Kanye West
Source(s): I guess when I factor in Kanye's production, he makes my top 10. He makes my top 15 usually... - Anonymous1 decade ago
