It's because you're not opening your Browser page first. I suspect your browser is Internet Explorer, open that page first, as it's the gateway to the Internet for everything you do.
if you do that first, you'll never see those messages again. In fact, you really should get a homepage also. But let's get you online first.
If it's not IE, it could be Safari, Opera, or one of hundreds, I happen to think Internet Explorer is the way to go, as it's the one Windows usually uses.
Just remember to open that page first.
