As many as possible.

Cross referencing helps weed out perception and cognitive biases.

Authentic books written from within spiritual attainment.

These books are written by people, who managed to cross the border in between the physical and spiritual life, so they can truly give us guidance how to achieve their level, and understand and perceive the total reality by ourselves.

I guess you can take that either way:

The spiritual way: The subconscious is the door to spirituality.

OR

The skeptics way: The brain has developed through evolution all the basic principles of spirituality e.g. archetypes.

I read to understand different spirituality's, and in turn, I feel, that makes me understand my own spirituality better.

Chilling out with relaxation dvds and music. Burning fragrant oils in those oil burners. Having tea lights burning in coloured mirrored glass burners. Wind chimes, Buddha figurine and poster.

The Scriptures , Music , Outdoors and silence .

Peace
