I would suggest a large crate if you plan on keeping him in the crate when he is full grown. A dog should be able to stand up and fully turn around without brushing the walls of the crate.

If you are still house breaking your pup, I'd suggest blocking off part of the crate while he's learning. Else, he will eliminate in the extra space.

    Hope this helps...

    English Bulldog Size

If you go to your local petstore many of the crates actually have breed suggestions for the sizes of the crate. Same with online.

    For Example:

    http://www.petcratesdirect.com/dog-crates-breed-ch...

This website suggest you need a 36" crate.

All in all the crate needs to be big enough that your bulldog can turn in a circle comfortably, stand up on all four, and lay comfortably. Don't go too big or your dog will make one end his bed and the other end his bathroom.

    Good Luck!

The dog must be able to stand up on all fours, and raise his head, turn around, 360 degrees, and lay back down for the crate to be the right size. You're probably looking at a medium to large sized crate for an english bulldog. I would bring him with you to the pet store, and if they have displays set up, try and put him in one to get the size.

if you buy used online, make sure to throughly clean it out with a good chemical to kill anything left by the previous dog(s).

we went to petsmart or petco. we have a bulldog puppy and hes in a large now. i would say get a bigger one so it has some extra space to move around and not feel cramped or enclosed in a small space. either large or extra large. for a full grown i'd reccomend the extra large. tho they are not big dogs they like big spaces.
