Best individual performance in recent memory?
There are a few teams that have been labelled 'one man teams' in the past. Jarryd Hayne v Warriors this year is a perfect example, then again in the same year, a massively underrated and lesser known Ben Roberts pulls out one of the best individual games I have seen.
Try to ignore what was at stake, and concentrate on the performance. For me it is so hard to look past the 2 try assists and a try, not to mention 46 tackles by Luke Priddis in the 2003 Grand Final, though a few years later Shaun Berrigan played a game that could rival it.
Brett Mullens was his own show for a 5 week period were he scored 17 tries, any of those games can be used. Just like you could use almost any game for Mal Meninga's 94 tour.
Any others? What is the best individual performance you have seen from a player.
Another one, Willie Tonga's 3 try effort against the Roosters in 2004, after Justin Hodges completely dominated him in the Roosters Round 3 35-0 win over the Bulldogs, Tonga came back and showed the Queensland and Australian selectors that Hodges had nothing on him, Tonga was on another planet that night, a good player, but he hasn't played close to a better game then that.

I think it was around 2001. Mark Riddell was playing for St George and steered St George to a win against Brisbane at Suncorp. Three Brisbane forwards could't hold him up, when he scored from a tap kick, 5 metres out.
Going back in time, you can take your pick from many games of Sterlo or Wally Lewis. Not forgetting Big Mal's 5 try effort against the Chooks in 1990

We went to the re-opening of Lang Park which was in 2003 (I think), anyway farking Andrew Johns cut Brisbane apart that day, much to my horror. Very dominant game.
I'd have to say though, Wally Lewis, in what I think was 1989. Basically steered QLD to a win against NSW on his own with players dropping like flies all around him. Massive game.
-- And Lockyer in the Tri-Nations final of 2004. One of the most dominant displays by a half ever.

Watmough tore the Tigers to shreds in a few rounds before the finals, only to lose 19-18. Scored two tries and making breaks from everywhere, pulling off great hits. Too bad the others didn't follow Choc's steps.

In the 90's Andrew Ettingshausen scored 5 tries in a game as well.

being an eels fan i hate to admit it, but lockyer a few years ago vs us at suncorp when kemp got 4 tries, that performance by lockyer that night was nothing short of breathtaking, he did everything and stole the game with a miracle kick to put the icing on the cake for them and send me off crying lol
