Hi, I think that his history will provide a great movie. I also think it will do a lot to educate people about the history of this great sport and will portray what a great champion he was. I was not very fond of the movie about Ruffian although it did show what a great filly she was and why she earned her place in the history books. I would also like to see a new version of "Man O War". Both he and Big Red rocked the foundation of this great sport and I would love for the world to see how important they both were. I am looking forward to seeing this movie. It will be nice to see him depicted in action oonce again.

I am very happy they're making a Secretariat movie. I got Bill Nack's book about Secretariat a couple years ago for my birthday and I'm finally finding time to read it. It is an amazing story, even aside from the obvious amazing accomplishments by the horse. I read that this movie will focus a lot on Penny Chenery who's story is very interesting... she was sort of thrown into horse racing because her father, who had always taken care of the farm, was dying and someone needed to run it. I hope they go a little bit into the backstory of The Meadow and Secretariat's breeding... how Nasrullah came to the US, how Bold Ruler had produced a lot of good 2 year olds, but nothing that could win in the 3 year old classic races, how Somethingroyal was by Princequillo and what that meant for Secretariat's stamina. I also hope they start from the very beginning with Secretariat... when he first started training, he really wasn't much of a runner... frequently outworked by other 2 year olds. He was always really big and it took him a distance to really get into stride to start running. I also think it's fascinating how the Phippses dealt with Bold Ruler's stud career... Somethingroyal was bred to him two years in a row, then after a coin flip, the winner would choose which foal they wanted to own... that way the Phipps stable had constant well bred horses... when it came time for the coin flip for Secretariat, the winner would receive the 1969 Somethingroyal foal and another foal while the loser would only receive the 1970 Somethingroyal foal because of an infertility problem with the other mare in 1970. Although Phipps won the toss, Secretariat's older full sister wasn't a talented racehorse and the real winner was the coin toss loser, the Meadow stable who ended up with Secretariat. I trust the movie will be excellent... it's set to come out in fall 2010.

It is said that the biggest challenge for producers was finding a horse with the physical qualities of Secretariat "Big Red," who many say was the most impressive physical specimen of horse flesh ever seen. Yes, I'm very excited to see the movie next fall and feel positive they will do it justice.

If all goes well, the movie will be released in 2010.
