    Consider your formula. It will give you A & B.

    the subscript numbers in a formula tell you how many of that atom there are. In the case of a molecule like SO4, you have 1 S & 4 O, for each molecule. If SO4 is in parentheses with a number outside it (SO4)3, you have 3 whole molecules SO4.

    To find molar mass in grams and atomic mass units (same number, different unit) - C & E

    Go to the periodic table and write down the number on the bottom of each square for the elements in the formula

    Al = 27

    S = 32

    O = 16

    your formula is Al2(SO4)3

    Al = 2 x 27 = 52

    S = 3 x 32 = 96

    O = 16 x 12 = 192

    Do the math. 52+96+192 is?

    The formula weight IS the mass of 1 mole in grams (D=C)

    Hope this helps!
