Better than a Montreal fan.

Over 40 years of watching the game, almost entirely on television, might be an apt description, and yet that would fit myself as well. and I lived in Chicago..(twice). The West Coast hockey fan might also need some historical info to help understand some of the Original Six rivalries

Hi
My perception through these rose color glasses that I call friendship is that of a knowledgeable hockey fan.
My perception through these babbling rants here on answer's is nothing more then another group of bandwagon fans or homers.
My perception through a critical thinking brain tells me that there will be a strong mix of all types, no different then anywhere else, even havens such as Canada. The difference will be the percentages change, that is all.
Thank You

We're hockey fans like anyone else. There's the good, the bad, and the fugly. The fuglies are the pompous azzes who go to the game and text during the whole game. The bad are the bimbo puck bunnies that go only for the hawt guyz! The good are people like me who actually enjoy the sport.

I think it all depends what team your looking at. I mean, us Northern Californians are very non confrontational with "other fans" and though we might give you a little sh!t about supporting another team we wont try and shank you like a Kings fan would. lol! The Ducks fan talk A TON of crap and they always give bad looks but over all they are that terms used for cats.
But to the nitty gritty, CA hockey fans generally (not everyone!) are are not as passionate (from what I see) as east coasters or Canadians.

Depends. If they are new to the game then they are no different than some Canadian kid watching it for the first time. Unless the Californian has been involved with the game for some time or is a transplant from northern climes, then they cannot be looked down upon because the game isn't ingrained to their society as it is in say Toronto.
