Often players look good to begin their careers because of a teammate at the junior level. Does anyone know of a someone that has basically stalked a former teammate in the attempt to get on the same team and regain a bit of credibility? Life is all about credibility and once you lose it you quickly become Gomez, a big number and no productivity to show for it.

I have seen several calls where a player is not in the crease but is called for a no goal goalie interference call (not a penalty). So in all I want to know is how far from the crease should this being applied, and should the rule book address this issue?

Do you prefer a player that shoots over and over again, rarely taking anything of quality, or do you prefer a player that waits till they have quality shots, shooting only a handful of times a game? In the end they both score with the same frequency.

Some of you probably already know where this is going I am sure.

Will the issue of salary dumping to the AHL become a CBA issue next year with teams like NY Rangers burying players in the AHL? I can see the NHLPA wanting to make this an issue due to players careers basically being ended because a club overpaid. As long as the player is in the AHL it is off the Cap, if they put the player on re-entry waivers and the player is picked up they now have half the over priced salary on the book, with no player to show for it, hence why players will never be given a chance in the NHL while under contract.

So I am going to come up with what I call the Avery Equation. It is going to be kind of like a QB rating in that it is a random number to the average person but it will mean something to a talking head. So here is my Avery equation, PIM drawn- PIM taken, then take and divide by PIM drawn. Now raise that to the power of a irrelevant number (goals times assist) divided by total points. Times this number by 1000 and you have percent pest,

I know people are always asking for what time will take Atlanta's spot, but what I am asking is could the NHL decide to scrap the whole thing and start with a whole new scheme.

If so, or even if not. what would you do to make two Conferences of equal size with divisions of equal size?

I was just reading an article that was talking about MLS and the average attendance per game and how the number is set to pass the NHL's if it has not already. I remember a year or two ago that the NHL was over the NBA (the actual only sports that have comparable sized arenas) when it came to attendance. So by the logic of the article I will site at the end, does this mean the NHL and NBA are about to be 5th and 6th behind Nascar and MLS since both will have a higher average attendance per event. Would percent of ticketed fans in building verse capacity be a better gauge since the NHL and NBA have roughly 20 thousand people allowable compared to 40-80 thousand the MLB and NFL both can claim and 300,000 that have been drawn to a single Nascar event?
