In the modern era has any professional hockey team swept its way through the play-offs?

Hi

By modern era I am meaning post NHL expansion, but do not limit the answer to NHL or even N. American leagues.

Thank You

Update:

ps. Why thumb the thumbs down? I would have to say there is two reasons. One the user (whom I have not seen around here before, but then again I do not come around often) has done much to offend people. The other option is that people have that little faith their favorite team could accomplish the feat and therefore do not want another fan to believe in the possibility. Should you not then be thumbing yourself down for not having a child like faith that anything is possible next season! Delusional or not, I always believe next year is the year my favorite team will win the Cup next year.

Update 2:

pss. Does no body pay attention to hockey outside of the NHL. Has Y/A talent pool drained that low in the last year?

No modern NHL team has done it, the list below is the last ones to do it.

    1923-24 Montreal Canadiens (4-0-0)

    1926-27 Ottawa Senators (3-0-3)

    1928-29 Boston Bruins (5-0-0)

    1929-30 Montreal Canadiens (5-0-1)

    1934-35 Montreal Maroons (5-0-2)

    1951-52 Detroit Red Wings (8-0-0)

    1959-60 Montreal Canadiens (8-0-0)

The thumbs down on the Leafs winning the Cup are because it will not happen any time soon, mark my words.

    Hi

Closest I could find in the NHL was the Oilers

in 1988. 16-2-1 - one game was abandoned due to

a power failure in Boston Gardens.

I think the Habs come close in the late '70s.

Tried searching for others, but couldn't find any more.
