Don't freak out! I have a normal sized Border Collie who has eaten pretty much everything under the sun. Although she got sick from the time she went through the garbage and ate some chocolate, she has never gotten sick from onions. Once again, if your dog had a small to medium piece, she should be fine.

Your dog can be seriously sick if it eats any garlic or onions. Onion toxicity can cause Haemolytic Anaemia which is a disease that causes the red blood cells to burst as they circulate the dogs' body. On the other hand, if it was a tiny, tiny piece, your dog should be able to handle it. Call the vet just to be safe, and keep an eye on her. If she starts acting sick, get her to the vet ASAP.

If shes seem fine and at her usual business she is fine, is she is acting strangely do not panic just get her checked by a vet.

I'm sure your dog will be fine. She might get the runs but that's it. Just keep an eye on her.

One little piece of onion isn't enough to hurt her.

    watch her closely.

She may end up with the poops or vomiting. Call the vet if she gets sick or if anything changes.
