Are there any smoking bans in place for pubs in Munich?

There was a general ban introduced one and a half year ago, it has been lifted due to a lost election of the party who installed the ban.

Now there is no ban for bars anymore only for restaurants and other places where food is served.

dude i lived there from age 11-16 and basically spent my last 2 years in pubs

if there are bans noone supports them munich might have different rules depending when u go though

they introduced bans like two years ago but lifted them a couple of months ago....and it probably will stay like that 4ever.

Yes smoking ban came in a few years back, was there last summer! (if you can find a quiet pub off a back road someplace they will be breaking the rules though;))
