Translate chinese instructions?

Hi everyone. I ordered an engine from the internet and it arrived yesterday. It came with an instruction manual, but it's all in Chinese. I have tried to use google translator, but I don't know how to type the Chinese characters in the manual.

I also installed Chinese simplified on windows so I can type, but I don't know what character sequence on the keyboard makes the symbol I want to appear.

I have a scanner, but I don't think an image can be decoded to text unless one of you knows an OCR program that will do this.

My last resort was to go to the chinese restaurant I order from once a week and ask for help.

I'm particularily worried about the section with big !!! caution symbols, like if you don't follow this exactly, you will blow up the engine.

Any suggestions on how I might learn to do this myself?

Thanks,

Terry

Update:

Great advice, thanks. The manual was 30 or so pages long. I did the first 12 which had the table of contents and the warnings which I felt were the important parts.

I set up a photobucket account like you suggested and uploaded the pictures I scanned this afternoon.

Thanks again!

Ok most of the warning stuff is just common sense. You might want to rescan ChineseManual-1.jpg it's virtually unreadable and it seems to be important. The continuing page, ChineseManual001-1.jpg talks about proper maintenance of the engine.

    5. Warning : Fuel can cause fires. Please check to ensure that wrong fuels are not used. Only approved fuels may be used. Using petrol and wrong fuels will cause fires, prevent the engine from starting normally and cause damage to the engine parts. Stop the engine when adding more fuel. Check to ensure there are no flammable hazards around before starting. When fuel seeps out, please ensure it gets cleaned up. Ensure all other flammable materials are not close by to prevent fires.

    6. Prevent exhaust gas poisoning. Breathing in the exhaust may cause poisoning. Please do not use in enclosed rooms, tunnels, tents, and cargo holds. When operating the engine please ensure that there is sufficient ventilation.

    7. Prevent body parts from getting caught by the engine. Do not allow body parts or clothing to come into contact with the belt or spindle of the engine. when performing maintenance, stop the engine. Do NOT start the engine with the protective cap covering the rotating parts removed.

    8. Prevent burns from touching an engine at high temperature. Do not allow any body parts or clothing to come into contact with silencer, exhaust, radiator or any high-temperature parts. You may purchase a protector to prevent such incidents.
