What is going to happen to article 125 UCMJ?

I am more amused with everyone (civilians with no military experience) honestly believe that there are no gays in the US military. One poster said Obama was “forging the way to permit gays to enlist”. These people are clueless and it is driving me crazy.

The NK incident on here was funny. I was entertained at the people asking questions about NK and they were the ones who were clueless that the US had a war with NK before. If I had a nickel every time NK threatened to destroy us or the world I could buy myself a new car.

That is the whole point that people who have never served don't understand.

The POTUS doesn't get to make LAW or change it, That is Congress' job.

Congress will be the ones that have to take action to change the Law. They will do that when there is enough call for action from the American public. So far that has not happened in large numbers, Even thought the ones calling for action are making lots of noise, they are still in the minority.

Gay marriage got shot down in the most liberal state in the country, CA. What makes anyone think the general public is ready for openly gay service members.

When the time does come, I would like to believe those in uniform will adapt and continue to serve proudly and follow orders. Until then DADT is working as a flawed policy.

Article 125

“(a) Any person subject to this chapter who engages in unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy. Penetration, however slight, is sufficient

to complete the offense.

(b) Any person found guilty of sodomy shall by punished as a court-martial may direct.”

Besides, they would look a little silly standing in formation holding hands.
