Do you know if you can break the hedgehog's nocturnal habit?
I am thinking about getting a hedgehog but I want to know if you can break their nocturnal habit. Know anything about hedgehogs? Please add that in too. If you do you very easily could get best answer!

No you cannot break their nocturnal habit. Being active mostly at night is who they are. To try to change that and you will end up with a very stressed out and sick hedgehog.
With that said, you can wake them up earlier in the evening instead of waiting for them to get up. If you wake them up early they often will look for a place to hide or try to go back to sleep. With mine I use that time to hold them in a snuggle bag and let them sleep while with me. After a while they usually will start to wake up on their own and I'm there when they start to become active.
To help you continue your research about taking care of hedgehogs, I highly recommend joining one of the hedgehog web forums. http://www.chins-n-hedgies.com/ or http://www.hedgehogcentral.com/ are both excellent resources. Read through the forums, and ask lots of questions. Hedgehogs can be great pets, but they do have some quirks that not everyone can deal with (like cleaning a poop smeared wheel daily or keeping their environment at a minimum of 72 F year round).

i have a hamster their kinda like hedgehogs but if your going to get one that's great. But i wouldn't recommend changing their nocturnal habits it messes them up
