there could be many things wrong with it after sitting for years that would keep it from starting, basically old gas won't fire for one thing and I,m sure it needs a good tune-up and make sure it's getting spark to the plugs and getting gas to the carb, the fuel pump could also be bad from sitting along with the carb needing rebuilt.
