How do you get collecters to stop calling you because they have the wrong phone number?
Now they are just calling and hanging up as if to harass us. We don't know who they are looking for. But we are starting to get mad enough to sue.

Do you have their contact information? In order to stop the calls, you have to send them the demand in writing. After that, if they call you they are breaking the law, and can be fined up to $1,000 for each call.

Tell them they are in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. You can find a copy online.

ask to speak to their supervisor and tell them, " Do not ever call this number again. You have the wrong number. If you do call me again, I will take your company to court and sue you for continual harrassment".

there are websites where you can put your number in and its supposed to stop the calls though they don't stop, they do minimize. email me and ill look for the site i had to do it to my house phone and cell phone.
