Weed is illegal in Amsterdam, and the rest of the Netherlands, and has always been illegal. It is ignored if several rules are followed.
One of those rules is no more than 5 grams sales per person, and an other is no people under the age of 18 on the premises.
There are many more of these rules.
There has been no change in the position of weed, but there are a few coffeeshops closed because they did not follow the rules.

lmao no i dont think it is illegal now I have heard they cracked down on the prostitution now, like it must be behind closed doors not advertised in the windows of stores. But no it is still legal in the Red light district. Hope this helps :)
