Astectics won't make your car go faster. Go to your local speed shop and tell them what you are trying to achieve. If it is top end or quarter mile running. They will give you a computer printout letting you know what cam, carb, manifold, rear end, exhaust ect....to use or buy. To be honest, your car is a little heavy to compete.

It will not ever be a "muscle car". They were made in the 60's and early 70's.
You could put a HEMI in it ( A REAL hemi, not the ones they are building now).
You can put all kinds of dress up crap on it, but that doesn't mean it is a muscle car!
The only thing you can do is add cubic inches- LOTS of 'em, OR put a big supercharger on it.

You can do mods to it to improve performence. but to get true muscle car performence out of you stock set up by building the engine on a budget then no.
you will only get close with a turbo or super charger kit

Put a true duel exhaust on it with cherry bomb glasspacks or super 40 flowmasters. Then lower it a little have the front sit low and the back a little higher. Last put some american racing torque thrust rims on it. Then it will look and sound pretty nice.

your vehicle can perform like a muscle car, maybe even better. you already have the 5.9 liter engine, you just need to lighten the vehicle, lower it to handle the speeds better. after those things, you may want to overhaul your engine. upgrade your transmission. so on and so forth

i used to work at dodge and we had a durango, that had straight pipe all the way back, that thing sounded mean, put some flames on it and it will look nice

make it as light and low as possible then add as much horsepower as you can afford and it doesn't have to be loud to be fast
