I think education is very important, but it doesn't guarantee everything. People who have an education might not have a job, a family of their own, or even time to spend with the family they have because they have a job that demands they're education.
I think if you want to make a decent amount of money to survive in this world, you'll need education. If you want to be a part of a civic society and help the community make better decisions (I.E. educated votes) then you need somewhat of an education.

A formal college education is needed for a lot of jobs, but there are also many other things you can do and make a good living. If you are not interested in academic work for four or more years after high school (at least finish high school, though), think about learning a trade. Plumbers, electricians, mechanics, construction workers, chefs, and so on can make a very good living without a college degree, although it's important to be trained and certified in the area you work in.
The best advice I have is to find something you love to do. That's your best chance not only of being happy in what you do, but also being successful at it.

In a sense education wont really make your life happy. Because it ******* sucks, but the fact that you have a high education and can get a good job and support yourself/significant other/child is well a good thing. And money gives leeway for things to fall into "place" if you will. You know, find that special boy/girl, BUY A KITTY :d
but yes you can be happy without education. I mean people in third world countries are happy right? they don't have to have a high education in there Society and they seem fine :)

If you can be happy with very little then you can make it, sort of. You probably won't be able to afford to have kids or ever own a car or a house, but you can survive. The world as it is now pretty much requires at least an undergrad degree even to be considered for low level white collar jobs. Unless you are a musical genius or can dunk a basketball you are going to need college. With the way things are headed even that might not be enough to provide a decent standard of living.

it is so true it isn't funny. i have a car payment and a mortgage, i can't make it with the job i have now. with getting a two year at community college i can get an air traffic control job starting out at $70,000 dollars a year. ten bucks an hour sounds good, and is liveable for a short time but today's life is tuff. having a degree puts you so far ahead no matter what it is for.
go from the employers point ov view. would you rather hire someone who has just been working for a few years, or hire someone who shows the initiative to better themselves and make them more knowedgeable. not being harsh but if you don't go to college you will look like the run of the mill worker. community college sounds like a cheap excuse for a higher education but it still shows you want to do better than what you can now.

It depends on the person. In general, getting a higher education can help you achieve more knowledge which could give you more self respect. The more of knowledge, the more likely of a higher paying job. That equals more money for more things you'd want. However, there are a lot of high paying jobs that do not require more education, not counting the info of your job. A plumber, road construction worker, or car maintanence, all pay high money. So it would depend on where you would want to go in life.

There's two ways of living.
Educated and Undereducated.
If you're educated, you'll live a life of mostly luxury, but you'll be working constantly and likely have no time for yourself or your family.
If you're undereducated, you'll likely live on a low-wage kind of job, and will be constantly worried about getting to the next paycheck to pay off your loans and bills.
In short, the standard of living in undereducation is USUALLY lower, unless you get a scam going. If educated, you'll usually get a desk job rather than a hands-on job, unless you're an engineer or a plumber or something.

To make the most of your potential in life, you should strive to get the best education that you are capable of obtaining, and continue to educate yourself after you leave school. You can live a good life without an education, but it is actually harder, not easier, to have everything that you deserve and are capable of having if you neglect to complete school.

Education now adays play a very important parts in our life and its very essential.
But without education we still can have a good life, respected and happy if we knows how to carry ourself and not stray to any bad elements.
This is my opinion and I don't know about others.

Education is paperwork. That's what the employers love to see. they usually don't take your word for it when you tell them, for example, you know how to work on cars or that you can weld. If your just having problems deciding on what to do with your life or if your just lazy like me, i would recommend joining the military. That's free and easy education that comes with respect and benefits from our tax payers. you can be anything from an office worker to a auto mechanic and receive a degree for it just by going to work. talk bout "killing two birds with one stone". You never get sent to "war" (unless you join in infantry). that's only in the movies, and you get preference for everything after you get out. Air Force ("chair-force") is the best.
