You know the cords you use to hook up a computer to a computer monitor? Well it's pretty much the same thing you just need to find one that fits you laptop. If that doesn't help I suggest you write down you VGA port size and bring you laptop to the store you bought it from and ask for a connection cord.

Sorry if I didn't help much I'm only 11, I hook my laptop up to my TV all the time but my way of explaining things hasn't always been great..

Weell all the Laptop after 2000 support TV outlet..

Use HDMI cables. and after it is plug in use Fn +F4 to toggle the screen between TV and monitor. If this function does not work go to display properties from control panel and change the setting to display mode 2

Try this site it will tell you in details

Not sure about video (I'm using s-vid and DVI-HDMI), but for audio you can buy a male 3.5 mm headphone to red/white RCA composite cable. just plug the headphone end into the headphone jack on your computer and the other ends into the corresponding red/white inputs on your TV. These cables cost likes $5 and under aat any electronics store. It will also let you play music from an iPod or other mp3 player over a stereo (no need to buy a $75 iPod dock with crappy speakers).

as long as your laptop has a VGA port and the TV does too its very easy - you just need a standard VGA cable - keep it less than 5 metres though as i found mine to fail any longer than this - http://www.computer-adviser.com/connecting-pc-to-t...
