of course not. there are other people out there with the same last 4 as you. that's why there are so many digits to begin with. lol

tell them they were able to take your order with what you gave them, they can cancel the same way

I was receiving shady letters from a credit card co. and contacted the FTC and got info from them so I would try that. Otherwise you may be able to get a phone number from the website on your papers and just make sure to not give any of your personal info out to them. Good luck

if you gave them the full number to begin with when you ordered, they can probably look up your order based on the last 4 digits and your name - they will ask you to verify you address of something - I've had lots of situations like that before

there is no way they could have charged your acct in the first place if you only gave them 4 out of 16 digits and no exp date and no name and address

They ask you for your whole credit card number to confirm its you. If it is a pretty big online shop that gets many customers you should be fine. Watch your credit card statment and if you see any purchases on your card that you have not made report it to the bank as soon as possible.
