What colleges will give me a full ride?

I am a senior in high school and have a 4.0 unweighted academic gpa and I got a 30 on my ACT. I don't have any money for college and I don't want to deal with government loans or grants. I just want to find a good engineering college that will give me a full ride. I've found a few that offer full rides but you have to have a 31 on the ACT and I didn't sign up in time to take the ACT again. Any suggestions?

No college that I know of will guarantee a "full-ride". A score of 30 on the ACT is decent, but not good enough to bring in all tuition paid scholarship. I do know plenty of universities that will give a substantial waiver for that kind of score, but it still takes some effort on your part to apply for them.

    Oklahoma State University (stillwater, ok)

University of Colorado (boulder, co i think)

    University of Texas

    University of Oklahoma (norman, ok)

    Kansas State University (manhatten, ks)

all have pretty good engineering programs and have guaranteed scholarships ranging from around 2k-8k total.

If you want to find individual scholarships for specific act scores, just try googling "scholarship 30 act score" and you will find bundles of them.

    good luck.

A 30 ACT and 4.0 GPA is very good. I think that you apply to all othe colleges you are considering. After you're accepted and filled out the FAFSA, you should decide which college you should attend by reviewing each schools' financial aid packages. Which schools gives you more aid (scholarships, grants, etc.) and which ones don't?

Private colleges tend to give more aid in scholarships to students with your stats. If you want to go to a public university, you need at least a 32 ACT or better and 4.0 GPA

Many public universities can give a lot of aid because of your stats, but not any around where I live. It could be $1000-1500 a semester/year here and there.

Don't listen to that other person. Don't think that because you're white, if you are, you'll get a minority scholarship because you won't. Last time I checked white people are not a minority group and minority scholarships are for minorities.

If you're white the black colleges will. And they don't give a crap about your grades. They'll give you a full minority scholarship for being white. They are recruiting white people hard core now a days. They are trying to diversify their campus.

Source(s): White ex girlfriend went to NCCU (North Carolina Central) for free on a minority scholarship.
