Can you recommend a specific laptop for a student?

I don't really care which brand it is, but here are my requirements:

-maximum screen size 14.1 inches.

-must have an HDMI port

-some sort of intel core 2 duo processor, only P series or lower power consumption

-at least 3GB of ram

-must have a free upgrade option to windows 7

-must have a video card at least as powerful as a Geforce 120M or better

If you don't understand what all the above means, please don't post, i need a serious answer.

P.S I Live in Canada.

I second the no dell. Most any company wil have a computer that fits your needs its more about design and what you like. If it were me i would look into sony vaio's.

Source(s): Has had 3 Lt's and 3 desktops, and is currently on an 18 month old high end dell..thats had to be wiped cleaned, the os reinstalled, and currently needs a new palm rest assembly.
