Question about using a debit card as credit?
The other day I bought something in a store that I thought accepted debit cards, but apparently did not. Since I was in a hurry, I let them charge my the purchase as credit on my debit card (by showing them another picture ID). I'm really new to using my debit, so I'm wondering how do I pay this off?
My statements are all online only by the way, and it's Bank of America if that helps.
Thank you!

It doesn't do anything different. Just make sure you have enough money to double the purchase in your account in case the store puts a hold on. But it should be fine! I use my debit card as credit all the time. It will just debit it out the next day. No bills in the mail

I've done the same thing with my Wells Fargo debit card. I use it for debit but it can also be used as credit and I was wondering the same thing the first time it went through as credit but then it just automatically got paid. I guess it just automatically gets paid if there are funds available.
Also, B of A might be different than Wells Fargo so I wouldn't really know...

It still will be treated as a debit transaction. You just don't need to put in your PIN. Check your statement, it should be on there.
