Who is a fan of George Lopez?
I tried watching his show "Tall, dark and Chicano" on In Demand tonight and only made it half way through. It was horrible and so unfunny. I had to wonder if the audience didn't smoke a few doobies on their way to the show because they were laughing their ***.es off. I've lost so much respect for this guy and I never quite got what a racist he is before now. What's the deal? He is so in love with his culture and race. I'm so over the racial jokes already, they are not even funny anymore. Seriously, he is too dam old to continue trying to compare Mexicans to other people as if he is still in Junior high school. He is not even right on either. He assumes all Mexicans are idiots like himself. I still can't believe anyone finds him funny!!!

You are so right. I loved how you put it. I have been disgusted by his racism for some time, but it seems that, somehow, as long as he'd not white, it's funny. Racism isn't funny. There isn't anything funny about it at all.
Personally, I think the man is disturbed. He's such a racist that he hates on other Mexicans who *aren't* racist. Check out his wiki page where it tells you how he has this hatred for Erik Estrada - a bigger Mexican celebrity that Lopez could ever hope to be.

i agree that the race jokes are getting a lil tired. most of george lopezs standups are about mexicans just like chris rock is about blacks

well i love the show but as far as iv seen i don't really like him as a stand up comedian.
