blackberry curve 8330 screen light up when phone rings?
I haven't had my BB Curve for long so do does anyone know of a setting to make my screen light up when the phone rings so I can just look at it without pushing a button to see who is calling or texting?

The only visual notification option is the LED. There is a free third party program called "Big Tin Can" that lets you control the LED and audible notifications, but not what you are looking for.
There may be some other apps that do what you want. Try searching BB App World.

I had a 8300 curve and now have the bold and they have always lit up the screen and displayed the number of who is calling. Don't know how to fix it, will refer you to www.crackberry.com user forums, they have been very useful for me, also free ring tones and stuff.
