Hey, Silly Turtle! I would also suggest to make the sentences flow a little more. Now for this part: "There was nothing for a split second, no world, and no thoughts, but everything came spinning back." I just feel like it was super rushed. You give the reader the sense that there is nothing and then snap! Oh, it's back to normal. That sentence almost seems unnecessary then. What was the point? If you are going to leave that, I would suggest to put a little more detail so the reader can truly imagine and sink themselves in it. Other than that, I loved it! Happy New Year to you as well! A new year = a new perspective on writing

Spitting
Source(s): US English speaker, but also... http://community.livejournal.com/word_ancestry/549... http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?l=s&p=36 Confusingly, that last one mentions "spitting image" under "spit" but also an 1880 reference to "splitting image" under "split". I've never heard that. - How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.
