should my hubby buy me a gift after i have the baby?

Its definitely not expected for them to but sometimes it's nice. The best gift they can give you at that point is letting you sleep and taking care of baby.

My husband bought me a Coach hobo bag and a journey necklace from Zale's. I think he felt guilty that I was going through all the hormons, hemorrhoids, weight gain, waddling, peeing all the time, restlessness.. and I had GD, so finger pricking and watching my diet even though I was starving and wanted ice cream. So I think he thought he better do it up right. Which was good, b/c I had to have a C-section too, on top of everything! LOL

if he wants to give you a gift no one is going to stop him, but i think the best thing he could possibly give you is lots of support and help after the baby is born. my husband did give me a card that makes me cry everytime i look at it, but i wouldn't expect a gift. my son is 8 weeks now and all i really want is a few hours of daddy and baby time so i can get some housework done.

dont be too hard on him if he doesn't. i mean, he's probably just as excited as you are. its a big event for him too. my husband didnt get me anything for my 1st two kids(when we were 22 and 25), but he did for my last(now we're older at 34)... he just brought me some roses the night before i was going to be induced. . . it was sweet but very unexpected. i wouldn't have been mad if he didn't bring me anything tho... we were all so excited to have a new baby after almost 9 years between kids... my two older kids are 12 and almost 9 so its been awhile... anyway, focus on the event, not the gifts... the baby is the gift! congrats!

My husband bought me flowers and a necklace from Tiffany's after our son was born. I LOVE it but I've been told I'm spoiled and that many husband's don't buy fancy gifts.

:) I think you would deserve a gift! He is obviously not entitled to do so but i think it is a great idea. Even little things to show that he is appreciative and proud are great. As long as that is shown.

My husband bought me lots of gifts but i didnt ask him i did'nt even know he was going to. I was so happy he bought both me and the baby a bear and he also bought me and ipod,a new ring and some pain meds lol i think that they should i mean look at all the pain you just been through lol congrats

yes because thats your hubby and hes sweet for him to do that.
